DiscoveryOnstage presents a summer acting camp focusing on your child’s unique sense of creativity. Over the course of a four-week period, your young person will have the opportunity to explore, hands on, the art of acting and create their very own performance piece from the imagination up.
Through various workshops including ACTING, MOVEMENT, MUSIC/SONG WRITING, DANCE, FILMMAKING, SHAKESPEARE, FOLEY SOUND EFFECTS, STAGE COMBAT, SWORDPLAY and IMPROVISATION, students will write their own play and choreograph and compose all of the elements within. At the end of the four week session, under a night sky and on a custom built stage in Monrovia’s own Recreation Park, the students will perform their premiere work for family, friends and community.

Schedule:

Camp Hours:
8:00am - 3:30pm Monday through Friday
(Classes begin promptly at 8:00am and end at 4:00pm with late pick-ups available for free until 5:00pm.)
Performance:
8:00pm on the final Friday. Performances will be held outdoors in
Monrovia’s Recreation Park.
