Fourth Annual Relay for Life of Monrovia
American Cancer Society
DiscoveryOnstage students participate in the Fourth Annual Relay for Life of Monrovia Cancer Society Event. Having generously shared their most personal memories, fears, questions and hopes in regard to the dreaded disease, DiscoveryOnstage students of all ages created from the imagination up a unique, touching and powerful performance piece that truly resonated with the audience leaving them both humbled and astonished. It is the belief of DiscoveryOnstage that theatre can serve no greater purpose than to bring about thought, feeling and change for the better and The Relay performance did just that.
Fifth Annual Relay for Life of Monrovia
American Cancer Society
DiscoveryOnstage returns to the Relay for Life of Monrovia Cancer Society Event this time featuring a scene from Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet performed by area middle-school students. Having put the scene together during the MUSD’s Village Extended School Day Program, DiscoveryOnstage utilized the Relay venue as a reward for outstanding work done by the Clifton students. It is the hope of DiscoveryOnstage that students will have left the event more confident in themselves and more connected to their community.
