DiscoveryOnstage After a hugely successful 2007 and 2008, DiscoveryOnstage once again presents a summer acting camp focusing on your child’s unique sense of creativity. Over the course of a three-week period, your young person will have the opportunity to explore, hands on, the art of acting and create their very own performance piece from the imagination up. Through various workshops including ACTING, MOVEMENT, MUSIC/SONG WRITING, DANCE, FILM MAKING, SHAKESPEARE, STAGE-COMBAT, and IMPROVISATION, the students will write their own play and choreograph and compose all of the elements within. At the end of the three-week session, under a night sky and on a custom built stage in Monrovia’s own Recreation Park, the students will perform their premiere work for family, friends, and community.
